LOVE

LOVE – it may be the most overused word in the English language, but it’s the best word we could think of to describe what we do every day and why we do it. Love provokes us to create objects of beauty for the people who inspire us. It is our love and respect for the gifts that the earth provides – the rich precious metals, minerals, and gemstones that have formed over millions of years – that challenges my team and me to create future heirlooms. It is our love and passion for goldsmithing: mastering anachronistic techniques with deft movements of the hand, while flirting with state-of-the-art technology. It is love that provides me with the courage to fully embrace a concept and develop the design patiently, giving it the time to mature, or to suggest and give way to another idea. Love is the beginning – including the beginning of our journey, a journey into our world, the world of Atelier Zobel.
